2. What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept paypal and Direct Deposit.
3. How long between ordering and delivery?
If your order can be filled from current stock, allow 2 working days for delivery within Sydney metropolitan areas. For interstate and country areas allow 3 - 5 working days. International orders are shipped using registered international post and will take between 3 - 10 days for delivery.
For custom orders allow an additional 2 - 3 weeks for printing and product manufacture.
4. What if I like a design and I like the basecloth but I'm looking for a different colour to match with the rest of my interior decor?
EcoInspired designs can be printed in your custom colour for minimum quantities of 5 metres. We can work with you to colour match the fabric to your interior scheme.
5. Why is it important to choose natural and sustainable fabrics for interiors?
Natural and sustainable fabrics are not damaging to our health. They are grown without the use of pesticides or herbicides.
Many mainstream interiors fabrics used for upholstery and window treatments are synthetic.
Synthetic fabrics are exposed to heavy duty chemicals:-
A formaldehyde product is often used on synthetic fabrics to prevent shrinkage; this is applied with heat and stays locked into the fibres permanently.
Petrochemical dyes are used for colouring synthetic fabrics.
Nylon and polyester are made from petrochemicals, the production of which creates nitreous oxide, a greenhouse gas that is three hundred and ten times more potent than carbon dioxide.
Acrylic fabrics are polycrylonitriles, which may be carcinogenic.
The impact on the environment is now well known; the chemicals and dyes used in the manufacture of synthetic fibres are leached into our waterways. The pesticides and herbicides used to grow non organic cotton is damaging to the soil and leaches into our waterways.
It is important to our health and to the protection of our environment to be able to identify and purchase organic fabrics wherever possible. These are hemp, organic cotton, bamboo, wool and silk.
6. Are your fabrics suitable for commercial office fitouts?
EcoInspired has a range of 13oz hemp and organic cotton fabric that has been rated Heavy Duty Commercial. It is ideal for seating upholstery, screens and for heavyweight window treatments.
The fabric is treated for fire retardancy with an environmentally friendly treatment spray .
7. Do you have a fabric suitable for blinds and matching lightweight curtains?
In stock we have the Stems design printed on 4.5oz lightweight hemp and organic cotton in off white; this fabric is ideal for semi sheer softly draping curtains.
We have the Stems design printed on 9oz and 13oz hemp and organic cotton that is suitable for blinds and will coordinate well with soft curtains.
All of our designs can be printed on these fabrics for custom orders.
Minimum order quantity for custom colours is 5metres.
